Of the Escalante 4’s many colorways, this is the one with nothing to announce: knit upper, laces, logo stripe and midsole all in the same flat stone shade, the outsole lugs only a few values darker.
The Escalante 4 is a road shoe built back toward the Escalante 1.5: an engineered knit upper with a knit tongue for a sock-like fit, Altra EGO foam in a lighter, more flexible midsole, a roomy toe box and zero drop on a 24-millimeter stack. It weighs 269 grams.
